  1. when vito and john showed up my jaw dropped

  2. Just finished the game lol i didnt even see the health almost died twice, the story was amazing Going to start part 2 tomorrow

  3. oh man (I mean… oh girl), you have to found and play the original Mafia from 2002… it is even more iconic with that years graphic and kinda different ending

  4. It's a shame that the radio didn't automatically tune into the news like usual when you were on your way to the gallery. It had a news piece on Hitler's advance throughout certain parts of Europe before WWII actually started. The tension building because the rest of Europe thought ignoring his territorial expansion would placate him, and how America's looking at the devolving situation from afar, and debating amongst themselves whether to intervene like in WWI or to leave European problems to Europeans. Not only does it tie into the start of Mafia 2 where Vito ends up fighting in Italy, but there's something about hearing that radio broadcast and knowing now that it leads to a whole world war, meanwhile Tommy's dealing with a very personal issue with the mob, and it almost seems like his troubles are insignificant by comparison, but we know that a guy like him could've never known that in his situation. Certainly made the ride to the gallery more unnerving than it already was.

  5. The original ending was better. I mostly preferred the writing in the remake, but it was a lot more of a shock in the original.

  6. New subscriber ❤❤❤I would love to see you play all the best game ever

  7. Hi Meg. I am new here. I really love your presentation and you know what? I loved all the mafia series, especially this one and Mafia II: Definitive edition! ❤

  8. Watching your playthrough make me remember how much I used to love this game when it just releases. The plot is so tragic but so great, I still cry even now watching it again.

  9. No. His chosen family was the mob. Until he found that love in his own family he built. It's why everything else to himBecame trivial.

  10. As a person that was raised by group homes. When anyone says the most important thing is family. They are 100% correct. Because even if it's the family you chose, and not biological. It's still family. The spouse you chose parents.. etc. and i for one. Am very much family oriented. Because I never had one until i built one.

  11. Four right turns, you're driving in a circle

  12. Sam never wanted to do what he did, he had to otherwise he would die painfully and so would his family, so many YouTubers forget that this game is literally about the mafia and that tommy getting out isn't realistic

  13. If you like assassinations you should play Hitman 😀

  14. my grandfather who was in the mob in chicago always told me, the family becomes more important than your own, if they want you to go shoot your father, you need to do it, or it will be you toohe always also said you never ask anything from the mob, dont associate with them, respect them but dont hang around them, less you know the better

  15. I think Tommy’s redemption was putting salearie behind bars and spending 8 years in prison.I think Tommy was kind of accepting it when he said yes feeling that in some way he deserved it knowing all the people he killed even though he was trying to redeem himself

  16. really enjoyed this series, do you plan on playing the second one?

  17. Play mafia 2.. Masterpiece game ever.. And in end who killed tommy.. He is hero of mafia 2.. 🙂

  18. The 2 guys who shoot Tommy in the end are the main characters in Mafia 2

  19. In the end, Salieri was just the same as Morello. The only difference is, that he put on a fake smile.

  20. You can't outrun your past. Redemption is all ethics, and ethics is strictly personal. It doesn't matter if people consider you redeemed or not, the past always comes back to get you. Tom was definently a perfect example of a complicated and imperfect character who did a lot of good, but also horrible things. There was no way the violence he enacted was not going to catch up to him, you reap what you sow. Violence is a powerful force but it also is a dangerous game to play. You don't do horrible things without losing a piece of yourself or making a target on your back.

  21. Can’t wait until you play the next 2 mafia games the are worth it

  22. hi just finish watching your entire mafia content. first I want to say props for the great job you did with the playthrough. wonderful stuff. with regard to the ending, even though I respect your opinion, life of crime only have two ending, either life in prison or death, there is no story arc redemption like game of throne or fairy tail endings like cinderella. i understand the emotions but anything other, than those two outcomes would have been poor writing and unrealistic when it comes to crime, and I mean true crime, not petty thief t or burglary. usually, the outcome is mostly death than prison. great job once again and have a great day.

  23. Like other comments have said, not every story can end with a "cathartic" ending, especially one about a mafia member who snitched on a notorious mob boss. Even though Frank escaped the country, he was still found by Don's men and killed, showing that Tommy was never gonna be completely safe and he knew it too. The ending isn't shocking in a bad way, just upsetting but understandable; it shows you can never permanently outrun your past.

  24. Not everything is about redemption ption sometimes we just escape the system

  25. mafia 2 is great, if you liked the first one you can't miss it out

  26. You should play mafia 2 in order to know who the 2 guys were who shot tommy in the end

  27. Guys like that don’t get a redemption. It’s how it’s supposed to end it can’t end any other way yk

  28. 23:00 was too funny ! 🤣 Great vid ! Crazy how you got emotional over every death's besides Tommy's lol please finish the series. Mafia 2 is really good and you got a sneak peak already but no spoilers lol

  29. “You don’t get to live a bad life and have good things happen to you.”- Arthur Morgan.

You should definitely play the second game. Maybe not the third, but definitely the second .

  30. So you finished the game the week of its 20th anniversary, congrats! But yeah, to feel complete it's kinda essential to play Mafia 2. Even though it was just a remaster, on remake like the first one it still have the feel of the 2010s. For me, story is a little better in the second game, but that is just a subjective opinion. Like the previous comment said, third game is not essential for the story of the first two games, even though that the game have a really good story and protagonist, but the game itself is so repetetive.

So in short, definitely play Mafia 2 and if you can find some extra hours then Mafia 3

  31. BAHAHA you broke it. Losing the police while still at the prison was NOT supposed to happen 🤣 also the weapon rules in this game is 1 assault rifle/shotgun and 1 pistol. That's why you couldn't have 2 pistols. Well this was definitely my 2nd favorite playthrough as short as it was. L.A. Noire was the best tho 🤣 I must say I disagree with you about the ending, it really sticks with me. Tommy's dialogue is completely different in the ending in the origina thol you should check it out. Mafia 2 is good, but good luck having any connections with any of the characters, they all feel so lifeless. It's kind of a weird game. The story is very lost on me. people defend the game for it's nostalgia but imo… did not age well

  32. I would kinda love to see you react to the changes and differences from the original Mafia 1 compared to this remake personally; and regarding Saints Row ummm yes please? The OG Saints Row games are absolutely amazing and I think you will definitely enjoy them, while it is kinda dated if you have a chance to play Saints Row one it’s really good but Saints Row 2 and the Third are my two favorites personally:)

  33. This is the original Tommys monologue from the 2002 game. It was rewritten in the remake also Sam’s last words in the original Were: Friendship is shit"
You know, the world isn't run by the laws written on paper. It's run by people. Some according to laws, others not. It depends on each individual how his world will be, how he makes it. And you also need a whole lot of luck, so that somebody else doesn't make your life hell. And it ain't as simple as they tell you in grade school. But it is good to have strong values and to maintain them. In marriage, in crime, in war, always and everywhere. I messed up. So did Paulie and Sam. We wanted a better life, but in the end we were a lot worse off than most other people. You know, I think it's important to keep a balance in things. Yeah, balance, that's the right word. Because the guy who wants too much risks losing absolutely everything. Of course, the guy who wants too little from life, might not get anything at all."

  34. That ending really was a plot twist 😳 💀

  35. now that u have seen all trailers for the universe of Assassin’s Creed Unisoft announced their next big installment Assassin’s Creed Mirage and there is a cinematic trailer out for it, and u should check it out, it’s looks really fucking good

  36. I'm commenting at the start of your vid but I can't wait to see you stream or record the Saints Row series. Maybe after that you can try Sleeping Dogs

  37. I always like the first mafia game back with i was a kid but I like the remake even better because it changed a few things like the ending. In the original, Sam betrayed Tommy and Paulie out of greed and jealousy and he was a cold bastard openly admittedly that he killed the hooker when she was stupid enough to come back to town. In the remake, Sam betrayed Tommy and Paulie out of fear because he knew that the don have slowly started to change over the years going from respect businessman to ruthless gangster like his rival was and even starting getting into the drug ratchet when he usually don’t. And chances are that he told the don about the bank because he figure if he found out about it and decided to kill Tommy and Paulie for going behind his back then he would kill him as well for not tell him. Sam loved Tommy and Paulie like brothers but I believe that it was his fear of the don that made him betray them.

In the original, Tommy testify against the Don and the family and the don got a life sentence while Tommy only got eight years and years later in 1951 when he was outside watering his lawn, a car pulled up, two guys got out, approached him and called him out by his name and he seen surprised right before they gun him down and he died alone on his lawn. In the remake same thing happen but different is that in the end, Tommy knew that this was going to happen eventually and when they called him out by his name he knew that it was over for him so he dropped the water hose and slowly turned around and slightly smiled when they pulled out the shotgun and accepted his fate because he knew that his family would be safe if he was gone and he died on his lawn surrounded by his family. It's a sad ending but it's a good game and story enjoy watching you play it

  38. I would love to see you play Mafia 2. Though I recommend that you play the original version instead of the definitive edition.

  39. I'm cried 😭😭😭
    I love that games 😍

  40. First off, loved seeing you play this game. And second, I can't wait to see you play Saints Row, the first one can be hard for some people to play, but the second is one of my favorite games of all time.

  41. In the original it was in fact diamonds they were unknowingly smuggling, changing it to drugs here ups the stakes as well as the betrayal of trust by the don, since drug smuggling back then was worth a life sentance.

  42. Loved this game so much even in the original version, It was so emotional. Looking forward for Mafia 2, You're gonna love the story more ❤️
